India Crushes Namibia in T20 World Cup 2026: Pandya’s All-Round Heroics & Chakravarthy’s Triple Strike Seal 93-Run Victory

India secured a commanding 93-run victory over Namibia in their second T20 World Cup 2026 fixture at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Opting to bat first after being invited by Namibia, India posted a formidable total of 209/9 in 20 overs, despite experiencing a couple of significant batting collapses towards the end of their innings.

The foundation for India’s imposing total was laid by fiery half-centuries from opener Ishan Kishan, who smashed a blistering 20-ball fifty to score 61 runs. All-rounder Hardik Pandya also contributed a brilliant 52 runs off just 27 deliveries, reaching his fifty with a huge six that also brought up India’s 200-run mark. Namibia’s captain, Gerhard Erasmus, was the standout bowler for his side, taking an impressive 4/20.

Chasing a challenging target of 210, Namibia started their innings with some intent, as openers Louren Steenkamp (29) and Jan Frylinck (22) attempted to keep pace with the required run rate. However, the dominant Indian bowlers quickly took control, systematically dismantling Namibia’s middle order with precision and skill. Varun Chakravarthy emerged as the chief destroyer, claiming three crucial wickets through his deceptive spin.

Axar Patel also made a significant impact with two vital wickets, one of which resulted from a spectacular catch by veteran Jasprit Bumrah. Hardik Pandya capped off his exceptional all-round performance by taking two crucial wickets himself, although he narrowly missed achieving a hat-trick. Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah further contributed to the wickets column, ensuring Namibia eventually folded for just 116 runs in 18.2 overs. This comprehensive win provides Captain Suryakumar Yadav and coach Gautam Gambhir considerable confidence as they prepare for their upcoming crucial match against arch-rivals Pakistan in Colombo on Sunday.
