Renowned television actor Vikas Sethi, best known for his roles in popular shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahiin To Hoga, and Sasural Simar Ka, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep due to a cardiac arrest. He was 48.
Sethi’s wife, Jhanvi Sethi, revealed that they were in Nashik for a family function when he experienced health complications. Despite suffering from vomiting and loose motions, he declined to seek medical attention, opting for a home visit from a doctor.
Tragically, Sethi was found unresponsive early Sunday morning, and the doctor confirmed that he had passed away during the night. His mortal remains have been sent to Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
In addition to his successful television career, Sethi also made a notable appearance in the 2001 blockbuster film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…, where he played the role of Robbie, a friend of Poo (Kareena Kapoor Khan).
The final rites for Vikas Sethi will be held in Mumbai on Monday. He leaves behind his wife and their twin sons.
